About this stone: Blue Lace Agate

Blue lace agate is a natural variety of agate (banded chalcedony, a microcrystalline form of quartz, SiO₂) with pale blue and white, lace-like banding. For several decades its primary source was a single mine in southern Namibia, the Ysterputs Mine, which operated from 1962 until January 2017; similar material is known from a few other places.
