Golden rutilated quartz is natural quartz (SiO₂), usually colourless rock crystal, that encloses golden needles of the mineral rutile (TiO₂). Golden is the colour in which rutile most typically occurs in quartz. The name describes the colour of the inclusions; it is not a separate mineral species.
