About this stone: White Labradorite

White labradorite is a trade name for natural labradorite, a plagioclase feldspar, with a colorless to white, often transparent to translucent body and a multicolored sheen. The same material is widely sold as "rainbow moonstone"; GIA explains that this is labradorite, not orthoclase moonstone, although the trade accepts the name. Much of it comes from Madagascar.
