About this stone: Pyrite

Pyrite is a natural iron sulfide mineral (FeS₂) with a brass-yellow colour and bright metallic lustre, and is the most common sulfide mineral. Its gold-like appearance earned it the nickname "fool's gold". It is cut into beads, cabochons, faceted stones and carvings, and many stones sold as "marcasite" in jewellery are actually pyrite.
